Herbs4Tea Chamomile Tea is Matricaria Recutita, the German variety of chamomile flower also known as Chamomillla Recutita.
The flowers when brewed into a tea are;
Anti-inflammatory,
antispasmodic, anti-bacterial

Menstrual symptoms
Chamomile’s anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, sedative and anti-anxiety properties may help with menstrual issues.

Although Chamomile is not a viable substitute for diabetes medication, it has been found that it may improve glycemic and lipid profiles in people with diabetes. It may also improve oxidative stress.
Inflammation
Flavonoids in Chamomile may help to reduce inflammation in the body. This reduces the risk of long term inflammation that may lead to other more serious health issues like autoimmune disorders, arthritis and obesity.
Insomnia
Often used as a calming tea, chamomile may help people to relax and fall asleep. It reduces anxiety.
Cancer Prevention
Some studies suggest that chamomile tea may target cancer cells and or prevent them from developing in the first place.
In general, Chamomile tea has anti-inflammatories similar in action to that of non-steroidal medication. It also helps with nausea, muscular pain, colic, nervous disorders. Useful as mouth wash.
Directions
Infusion: Pour 375ml cups of boiling water over 2-3 teaspoons of flowers. Steep for 10min. Strain and drink three times per day.
Bath: Boil 1 cup of flowers with 2L of water for steaming and washing hair and face.

Do not use if pregnant or lactating. Consult with a medical practitioner before use. If allergic to members of the Daisy family plant, including ragweed, should not use. Can interact with warfarin or other blood thinning medication.
